Atonium (Brussels)
The Atomium was designed as a celebration of scientific progress for the 1958 World Fair. The structure represents an iron crystalline molecule enlarged 165 billion times. Inside the nine spheres, visitors can see permanent and temporary exhibitions on themes such as Science, Progress and the Future
Scientastic - Brussels
This unusual museum utilises light, sound, smell and touch, and takes visitors on a journey of discovery. You will find 80 exciting and interactive hands-on creations. These unique exhibits are based on the themes of entertaining physics, illusions, and the five senses. Students will encounter, fly at the mirror like a bird; sit down like a fakir; have your picture taken in an impossible "Esher type" box. Scientastic lets you explore dozens of optical illusions, proving that seeing is believing!
Euro Space Centre (Transinne)
Delve into the world of Space. Take off for a series of shows, starting at the Big Bang and ending in the most futurist projects in space exploration. Students can enjoy experience such as, the temple of planets, the European Columbus laboratory and the International Space Station. There is a full-scale mock-up of the American Space Shuttle, and a possible talk with Dirk Frimout, the Belgian astronaut. At the end of the visit journey you can visit the amazing Space Show film.
House of Liege (Liege)
A journey through the fascinating world of science, this attraction tells the story of science through spectacular animations and automated experiments presented by scientific guides. All corners of science are explored, including some exciting experiments on static electricity, and liquid nitrogen and optical illusions. You can also combine this with a visit to the Liege Aquarium.
Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences Museum ( Brussels)
Visit Europe’s biggest Dinosaur Gallery, or discover the paleoLAB dedicated to the world of fossils. Learn about the history of earth through crystals, meteorites and precious bits of moon rock, and meet ancient ancestors to discover story of evolution. The Planetarium is a magic place where you can discover the beauties of the star sky. Under a semi-spherical dome, the spectator is invited for a journey during which heaven's vault, panoramic views and astronomic images are combined.
