![]() Madame Tussauds in New York is getting ready to welcome a brand new waxwork to its collection – Lady GaGa.
Lady GaGa is getting her own Madame Tussauds waxwork later this year. A spokesperson for the New York branch of the tourist attraction confirmed yesterday that they’re working on a likeness of the star. The wax model of the out-there singer will be one of the most ambitious the company has ever attempted as ten copies of the star are to be made, one for each of the tourist attraction's locations around the world.⨠The wax models are estimated to be costing around £1 million. A source from Madame Tussauds said, “This is definitely one of the most ambitious projects in our history.” Fans of the singer will be thrilled to hear that they can have a say as to which outlandish outfits and hairstyles the waxworks have. The spokesperson said, “We're open to hearing from fans about which looks they want.” Visit www.nycwax.com to tell them how the waxwork should look. The new models should be in most of Madame Tussauds’ venues, including New York and London, by the end of this year. In October, the Madame Tussauds in New York is hosting a special 'Madame Tussauds after dark' event. Tipped to be the city's darkest haunted attraction, the event runs from 21-24 October and 28-31 October. ![]() |
