Leavesden Studios to be turned into Harry Potter attraction

26/08/2010
The studios in London where the Harry Potter movies have been filmed are to be turned into a new tourist attraction, which looks set to attract Potter fans from all over the world.

Harry Potter star, Rupert Grint, who plays Ron in the films, confirmed rumours about the new attraction earlier this week at a meet and greet session with fans.

Leavesden Studio will become a new Potter mecca, where devotees of the books and films will be able to tour the sets.

Rupert also issued a tip to fans, telling them to look out for cast scribblings on the walls.

"We used to write on the walls and they're actually re-creating and turning the studio in an attraction, actually recreating all the rooms so you can go in them,” he said.

One thing that won't be present at the new attraction is the original '4' that hung on door of Harry Potter's home – Rupert reveals that he was so attached to the sign that he took it home.

“I also tried to take one of the huge golden dragon eggs used in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" movie home as a dare - but I got caught and had to return it,” he laughs.
