School Trip Back in Time
07/02/2010
A recent history project at a Crowthorne school took a step back in history to visit Victorian times through dance.

Historical group Dance Back in Time recently visited pupils from Oaklands Infant School, with the pupils learning Victorian dancing and songs. Teachers and pupils alike applauded the event, and it is hoped the trip back in time at the school will take place again in the future.

Headteacher Julie Sheppard said: “A couple of weeks ago we had a Victorian Day where all the children came in wearing Victorian outfits so this was a chance for them to do that again.
“The man from Dance Back in Time got dressed up with them and taught them various dances, songs like Daisy, Daisy and the National Anthem and some Victorian etiquette.
