 Our educational WWI school trips just got a whole lot better!
Monday 11th June 2012 will see the reopening of the newly renovated In Flanders Fields Museum. The inside of the museum has been completely overhauled and promises to provide a more intense and engaging experience that digs deeper into the consequences of The Great War and the effect it had on the people that lived, fought and died in it. A number of new personal stories have been added which tell the stories of those that were alive during the war, allowing you to see the war from many different angles and will enable you to connect with the war on a more emotional level. The museum, now fifty percent larger, makes use of some of the best technology and museum Innovations to ensure its visitors get the most from their visit and the brand new knowledge centre has been installed to answer any of those burning questions you may have. Another new addition to the museum is its education space; this has been specially created to accommodate a number of the museums workshops that it offers to groups which will engage students and help them to learn while having fun. If your students are currently studying WWI History, there is no better way for them to learn and appreciate the impact the war had on the world than a school trip to the location where it all took place.
