School Travel Forum - We Are In!

We are delighted to announce Adaptable Travel’s membership to the School Travel Forum.

We have always provided school trips and educational tours of the highest standards, with safety of the utmost importance. Now we can officially announce that we are fully assured members of the School Travel Forum.

Adaptable Travel is a full member of the School Travel Forum and as such abides by the organisation’s regulations regarding school travel. The School Travel Forum is a group of leading school tour operators that promote good practice and safety in school travel. All Full Members of the STF adhere to a rigorous Code of Practice and Safety Management Standards that are externally verified each year by Overcoat, the UK’s leading Health and Safety Consultancy specialising in Travel.

During the course of developing the STF Code of Practice, and in addition to liaising with the DfES, advice has been sought from all leading educational Unions and Associations. The STF initiative has the support of the SHA, NAHT, ATL, PAT and is welcomed by the Outdoor Education Advisors Panel (OEAP). The principles on which it is based have the support of the NUT and the NASUWT advises members wishing to organise school trips to use companies that have this type of scheme.
