Q: Can Adaptable Travel produce risk assessments for my tour?
A: Adaptable Travel has both risk assessment and Safety Management System documents which cover all aspects of your tour, please ask for
copies. If these are not sufficient, we will be happy to produce a risk assessment tailored to other aspects of your tour. In addition,
Adaptable Travel carriers out full risk assessments of all venues used in our convention packages.
Q: How does Adaptable Travel monitor the health & safety implications of group tours?
A: Adaptable Travel operate an ongoing Safety Management System detailing an ongoing commitment to the management of safety on all of our
tours and defines the safety systems currently in place within the business. This document covers all aspects of our tours and includes
regular audits covering accommodation, transport, pre tour information, tour evaluation, emergency procedures and training. A full copy
of our safety management system can be sent on request.
Q: Are monies paid to Adaptable Travel secure?
A: For all tours the Adaptable Travel Group operate a Trust Account system ensuring our clients monies are secure at all times, funds are
only released from our trust account upon completion of your tour.
For air travel the Adaptable Travel Group is licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority under Atol 6870. As such we are fully bonded under
the Atol rules and regulations. You can view full details of the protection this offers at www.atol.org.
Insurance
Q: Not all of our group want to take out insurance as they have their own; can just a few of our group take it out?
A: Yes. As many or as few people can take out our insurance as is needed, just let us know the names of the group members who would like insurance.
Q: What type of insurance cover will I get?
A: You will get Full Comprehensive Travel Insurance for the duration of the tour, which is both medical and personal cover.
Q: When does insurance cover start?
A: The insurance cover starts from the minute that you let us know you want insurance and we receive your booking form, covering group
members for many eventualities that prevent them from travelling on the tour, such as illness.
Q: What do I do if I need to make a claim?
A: If you take out insurance through Adaptable Travel, and need to make a claim, all claims should be made directly through Fogg Travel Insurance Services Ltd.
Q: I have a EHIC (European Health Insurance Card, formerly E111), do I need travel insurance as well?
A: The EHIC covers you for medical treatment whilst abroad in Europe. However, it does not cover you for all medical emergencies such as
repatriation or illness causing cancellation prior to departure. Furthermore, our full comprehensive travel insurance covers for additional
factors not covered by the EHIC such as loss of personal belongings. If you need to obtain a EHIC, you can apply online at
